It
was in 1940 when a humanitarian had came to this world to serve the
humanity with both hands. He is the man who always proven himself as the savior
of ignorants. By starting his life journey from a small village called Fatehjung, District Campbellpur
(presently known as Attock, Pakistan) he was never planned to be a part of
Indian politics. He had started his childhood as a common boy and did wonders
in academics and finally achieved Doctorate Degree. He
was a Research Scholar from 1965 to 1970 and joined the Public Law (PL
480) aided project floated by United States known as Food for Peace
(project meant for poor and needed people around the globe), wherein he did
research on 'Cytological Studies of the Economic Plants of North West
Himalayas'.
Before
getting into politics, he had started his professional career by opening as a
small scale Industry and soon became the President of Industries Association
of Chandigarh and thereafter in 1979 he had opened a fine dine
restaurant called MAHFIL. It is because of his commitment towards work
he had been awarded as the best and youngest Entrepreneur by Mr. Mohammad
Hidayatullah (former Vice President of India) in 1983.It
is under the influence of former Prime Minister of India (Late Sh. Chander
Shekar Azad) he had started his political career and reached to the level
of Union Minister of India between 1989 to 1991.
Even today, at the age of 77
years he is quite energetic and serving the lives through his non for
profit organisation 'Dr. Dawan's Nature Cure Centre' situated in Chandigarh
which helps the diabetic patients to live healthy life. Being the real
trailblazer he always works for the communal rights of people in need.
